Maria + Kevin | Richmond, VA Proposal

Changing it up from the usual and sharing a different type of portrait session on the blog today…. a proposal! A few weeks back, I was very fortunate to document Maria and Kevin’s engagement. I love getting to capture proposals because each one is so unique and there’s something special about photographing the newest season of a couple’s story. They also typically take place at a new-to-me location, and shooting in new locations always pushes my creativity. I met Kevin at Maymont Park in Richmond, which is beautiful and has so many amazing photo opportunities- talk about the perfect place for a proposal to take place. Kevin put a lot of thought and effort into planning, and I think it shows in the photos, and the location he chose to pop the question. Enjoy some of my favorites!
